Service, Cancellation and Refund Terms

These terms apply to Menu Check, Menu Profit Reset, fixed-price custom dinner and retreat menus, launch guidance, custom engagements, events and future digital products unless a written proposal states different terms.Effective 28 July 2026 · GreenMenu by Crafted by D · Aotearoa New Zealand

1. Contract documents

The contract consists of the offer description, these terms, the Privacy Policy, the submitted client intake, the payment record and any later written proposal, email confirmation or scope variation. Where a specific written proposal conflicts with these general terms, the more specific written term applies.

2. Payment and GST

Fixed-price services are payable in advance through the stated checkout unless agreed otherwise. Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars. GreenMenu is not currently GST-registered, so New Zealand GST is not presently charged. If GST later becomes applicable, advertised consumer prices will remain GST-inclusive unless clearly stated otherwise. Stripe may display a supported local currency and exchange rate at checkout.

3. When work starts

Payment alone does not start the delivery period. Work begins when GreenMenu has confirmed payment and received the required intake information, menu files, links, data and answers needed to perform the service. Missing, inaccurate or late client information may pause or extend the delivery estimate.

4. Scope and priorities

GreenMenu will focus on the deliverables listed for the purchased service and the highest-priority outcome identified in the intake. The client must identify any non-negotiable deadline, compliance dependency or critical operational constraint before work begins.

An extra-scope request will be considered in good faith. GreenMenu may decline it, include it without charge where minor, or propose a separate fee, revised delivery date or different service. Silence or discussion does not make an extra request part of the purchased scope.

5. Menu Check

Menu Check covers review of up to eight menu items and the listed written recommendations. It is a focused assessment, not recipe development, supplier negotiation, full food costing, a legal compliance audit or implementation service. Delivery timing is confirmed after payment and the complete intake information have been checked.

6. Menu Profit Reset

Menu Profit Reset covers the listed menu review, development direction for up to five dishes, food-cost and operational guidance, one consultation and one revision round. Unless expressly added, it does not include fully tested final recipes, laboratory nutrition analysis, on-site implementation, photography, supplier contracts or legal and regulatory approval.

7. Fixed-price custom dinner and retreat menus

The Custom Five-Course Plant-Based Menu is NZ$795 for the published standard scope. The Custom Two-to-Three-Day Plant-Based Retreat Menu is NZ$1,495 for the published standard scope. A requirements brief must be submitted first. GreenMenu may accept the brief at the fixed price, ask reasonable clarification questions, propose a different scope and fee, or decline the project before payment.

The fixed fee covers only the deliverables and limits stated on the relevant service page. Extra courses or meal services, multiple guest-count scenarios, urgent delivery, material changes after brief approval, kitchen testing, photography, nutrition analysis, supplier work, on-site training and other excluded items are not included unless confirmed in writing.

8. Client responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, current and complete information.
  • Identify allergens, mandatory requirements, deadlines and operational limits.
  • Review drafts and respond within a reasonable time.
  • Test recipes, yields, holding, service flow and allergens before commercial use.
  • Obtain local legal, food-safety, council, licensing, tax and accounting advice.
  • Ensure they have authority to share submitted menus, data and third-party material.

9. Revisions and acceptance

A revision means a reasonable adjustment within the original brief, not a new concept or expanded deliverable. Additional revisions or a material change of direction may be quoted separately. The client should identify a concern promptly so it can be addressed before the work is treated as complete.

10. Cancellation before work starts

A client should request cancellation as soon as possible. Where GreenMenu has not started the work or committed non-recoverable third-party costs, GreenMenu will ordinarily provide a full refund. A different outcome may apply where the client specifically requested immediate work and substantial work has already begun.

11. Cancellation after work starts

Where work has started, GreenMenu may retain a fair amount for work completed and non-recoverable commitments and refund any unearned balance. If a service fails to meet a legal guarantee, the client retains any remedy available under applicable consumer law. Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Events, travel and appointments

Custom events, travel and recurring support are confirmed only through a written proposal. Venue, ingredient, accommodation, transport and third-party cancellation costs may be charged where agreed. Rescheduling and cancellation terms specific to the booking will be stated before the client commits.

13. Future digital products

A digital pack licence permits the purchaser to use the pack internally for their own venue, event or business. It does not permit resale, public redistribution, uploading to shared libraries, removal of branding or use to create a competing commercial product. Once a digital product has been supplied or accessed, GreenMenu does not ordinarily provide a change-of-mind refund, but faulty, misdescribed or inaccessible products remain subject to applicable legal remedies.

14. Intellectual property and client materials

The client retains ownership of their original menus, data and branding. GreenMenu retains ownership of its pre-existing methods, templates, tools and know-how. Ownership or licence terms for custom recipes and deliverables will be described in the applicable offer or proposal. No public case study, testimonial or identifiable client disclosure will be used without permission.

15. Confidentiality

GreenMenu will treat non-public client information as confidential and use it only to assess, deliver or administer the service, subject to the Privacy Policy and disclosures required by law. Clients should avoid supplying trade secrets or sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the brief.

16. Advice boundaries and results

GreenMenu provides chef-led menu and food-business guidance. It is not the client’s lawyer, accountant, tax adviser, council officer, food-control verifier, medical provider or investment adviser. Recommendations do not guarantee sales, profit, approval, funding or a successful launch.

17. Complaints and disputes

A client should email craftedbydnz@gmail.com with the order or intake reference, the issue and the requested remedy. GreenMenu will review the concern and attempt a practical resolution. Rights to approach a court, tribunal, regulator, Privacy Commissioner or other lawful process are preserved.
